Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Wave Pro, a UK platform for personal watercraft and boat owners. Please read them carefully — by creating an account or using Wave Pro you agree to them.
1. About Wave Pro
Wave Pro is operated by Primox Software Ltd (“Wave Pro”, “we”, “us”), the company you contract with under these terms. Wave Pro currently provides information about UK launch locations, live weather and marine conditions summaries, Plan a Journey, a private “Garage” for your own craft records, Ride Mode for recording your own journeys, Compete for personal ride figures, Social for rider profiles and posts, Explore (including Ride Outs, events, challenges and a Marketplace), and the ability to contribute launch knowledge for review. Wave Pro is an information and connection service — we do not sell craft, take payments, arrange transport, or provide safety clearance.
2. Accepting these terms
By registering for or using Wave Pro you confirm that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
3. Your account
Wave Pro accounts are for adults: you must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and creating one includes confirming that you are 18 or over. This is an eligibility requirement for Wave Pro accounts. Provide accurate details, keep your login secure, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any law, or use Wave Pro for fraud, harassment, or abuse;
- post false, misleading, or fabricated information about launches, craft, conditions, listings or rides;
- submit fabricated ride data, manipulate rankings, or otherwise cheat Compete;
- impersonate another rider, Wave Pro, or a business;
- misuse the contribution, reporting or blocking tools, or submit unlawful content;
- scrape, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other users’ data.
5. Launch, conditions and journey planning
Launch details and forecast-based conditions information are provided for information only. Available source links and provenance are shown — the information is not safety advice or a clearance to go on the water. Wave Pro does not currently provide tide predictions. Plan a Journey is a modelled estimate of conditions along a route you draw; it is not a navigation track and it is not an official marine forecast. Conditions on the water change quickly; always judge them in person — including tides where relevant — and ride within your ability, your craft’s limits and the law. You remain solely responsible for your decision to launch.
6. Ride recording and Compete
Ride Mode records a journey only while the app is open and on screen. Recorded routes are private to you. Compete shows personal figures derived from rides you record, and may show rankings among members who have entered a class. Wave Pro does not certify those figures, does not guarantee they cannot be manipulated from a modified device, and does not provide a sanctioned race. Entering a class is optional.
7. Social, Marketplace, Ride Outs and your content
Your Garage records and recorded journeys remain private to you unless you choose to publish a related public craft page or enter a Compete class. Content you submit for other people to see — launch suggestions, Social posts and photographs, Marketplace listings, Ride Outs and events — remains yours. So that we can operate Wave Pro, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and store that submitted content, reproduce it where technically necessary, moderate or edit it where appropriate, and display it within the service once approved. We may also show approved public community content when explaining or promoting Wave Pro.
Social photographs and Marketplace listings are reviewed before they appear. You can report a post, a rider or a listing, and you can block a rider. We may edit or remove content that breaches these terms, and we may suspend accounts.
Marketplace contact is direct (phone, WhatsApp or email as you choose). Wave Pro does not take payments, hold goods, or stand between buyer and seller. You are responsible for your listing and for any deal you make. Ride Outs and events are organised by members; Wave Pro does not run the day on the water.
Certain business features — including the public marine-business directory — operate by invitation only while in controlled access. Rider Assistance is not currently available to members.
8. Intellectual property
Wave Pro’s name, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the service for its intended purpose but not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer it.
9. Third-party data and services
Wave Pro relies on third parties including weather and marine forecast providers (such as Open-Meteo), mapping, geocoding and postcode services, and cloud hosting. Their data is used under their terms and we attribute sources where required. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Wave Pro available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw features as the product evolves. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.
11. Liability
Wave Pro is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude liability for loss arising from your use of the service or from reliance on launch, weather, conditions, journey-planning or Compete information, or from deals made through the Marketplace or attendance at a Ride Out. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
12. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time — permanent account deletion is available in Account settings, reached from the avatar menu, or at wave-pro.co.uk/account-deletion. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the platform and its members.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Wave Pro grows. We will post the revised version here with a new date, and for material changes we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention where reasonably practicable. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
